Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of (The Extremes of Good a d and “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during thRenaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comefrom a line in section 1.10.32. The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.
